A 14-year-old pupil of Dadeben Basic School has drowned in a culvert at Teachers Quarters, a suburb of Nyanyano in the Gomoa East District of the Central Region.
The victim, identified as Lawrence Dogbe, was a JHS 1 student.
According to eyewitnesses, Lawrence had gone swimming with two classmates after school had vacated on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, when the incident occurred.
