Kwesi Appiah has finally opened up after his tenure as Black Stars head coach ended.
Appiah, whose contract expired in December was hoping to continue as coach but Ghana Football Association (GFA) decided against offering him a new deal after dissolving all technical teams of the national teams.
The decision according to the GFA President Kurt Okraku was because the national teams were not competitive.
In a statement released on Sunday, Appiah said coaching the senior national team was an absolute honour, expressing his gratitude to the President Akufo-Addo, Sports Ministry and GFA for their support.
According to him, in the last two years, he and his backroom staff have worked hard to lay a strong foundation required for others to build on towards a better future and success for the team.
