A violent street fight among three young men with cutlasses has led to one finger chopped off in Akyem Oda New Station Area.
According to a police press release issued on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, authorities acted swiftly after a viral video showed the group openly attacking each other with the weapons.
The Eastern South Regional Police Command has restored calm after deploying officers to the scene to quell the violence.
Two suspects were later located receiving treatment at different hospitals. George Okyere, 30, was found at the emergency ward of Oda Jubilee Hospital suffering from a deep forehead cut and a severed right finger.
Another suspect, Paul Pascalele, was receiving care at the Akyem Oda Government Hospital for a deep wound to his right hand.
A third suspect, Evans Adayele, has since been arrested at his hideout and is cooperating with investigators. Police have confirmed that a manhunt is ongoing for other individuals involved in the clash, who will face prosecution once apprehended.
DSP David Fianko-Okyere of the Public Affairs Unit, Eastern South Regional Command, signed the statement.
