A four-month-old baby and two adults are dead after a multi-vehicle collision on the Kasoa-Winneba Highway, police have confirmed.
The crash happened at Buduatta Junction and involved a private car (DV 9546), a fuel tanker (GN 4328-15), and a tipper truck (GT 9026-26).
According to witnesses, the driver of the private car was heading from Winneba toward Kasoa when a pickup truck attempted a wrongful overtaking manoeuvre, causing the private driver to lose control.
The car then collided head-on with the fuel tanker, and the tipper truck behind the tanker crashed into its rear.
The driver of the private car and a female passenger died instantly.
The infant was rushed to St. Gregory Catholic Hospital in Buduburam but was pronounced dead on arrival.
