Our father would be ‘gutted and disappointed’ – Kwadwo Safo Jnr

By News1

Kwadwo Safo Jnr, son of the late Apostle Dr Kwadwo Safo Kantanka, has broken his silence on the recent shooting at the family’s Kwabenya residence, stating that his father would be deeply saddened and extremely disappointed by the violent turn of events.

Speaking at a press conference on Thursday, June 25, Safo Jnr appealed for unity among the Kristo Asafo faction, warning that the public feud risks tarnishing the legacy of the late founder.

His comments follow an incident where armed security personnel allegedly opened fire, injuring his sister and former Dome-Kwabenya MP, Sarah Adwoa Safo.

Safo Jnr revealed that he was originally scheduled to accompany his sister to the residence but was prevented by a sudden illness, a twist of fate he believes may have saved his life.

He clarified that the visit was intended to request a postponement of a succession ceremony until all siblings were present, not to provoke confrontation.

Police have confirmed that investigations into the shooting are ongoing.
