Stephen Kwabena Boateng, Esq., popularly known as Kwabena Kesse, CEO of the Kessben Group of Companies, has died on Thursday, August 20, 2026.
His death has sent shockwaves through Ghana’s business and media communities.
A lawyer by training, Mr Boateng was the sole shareholder of Kessben FM Ltd, which operates Kessben TV, Aseda TV, and Kessben FM, and held majority shares in Multi Credit Savings and Loans Ltd.
Under his leadership, the Kessben brand grew into a major conglomerate with interests spanning travel, education, logistics, hospitality, and higher education (Kessben University College).
The group is a notable economic force, especially in the Ashanti Region.
Funeral arrangements are pending, with the family expected to release details shortly.
His passing marks the end of an era for the conglomerate, leaving behind a significant legacy in Ghanaian enterprise.
