Wearing makeup is all fun and exciting until it starts to cause damage to your skin because you did not get it off right.
Many people resort to various ways of removing makeup from their face, including washing it off or simply rubbing off. It is time to let go of the wipes and switch to much kinder and calmer ways of cleaning makeup off your face.
The most popular way is the use of wet wipes. Aside from being bad for the environment, wet wipes also damage your skin.
The material it is made of can cause abrasions on the skin and the other ingredients included, often strip your face of its natural oils.
This often leads to breakouts and sensitive skin. The right way to get rid of your makeup is to start with the delicate areas of your face. The area around the eyes is one such place to start. Saturate three cotton disc or balls with a cleanser.
If you use a cotton disc, cut this in half and place it under each eye.

Allow the cotton disc or balls to soak in the makeup for about 60 seconds. Hold the second half of the disc on each eye for about 60 seconds to allow the breakup of the makeup.
Now gently run off the mascara, eyeliner and other eye complements with the cotton disc placed over it. The other piece placed under the eye can be used now, to rub makeup around the eye.
The most important thing for your skin at all times is to deep cleanse. First, you need to use the last cotton disc soaked with cleanser to wipe off the makeup.
Next, you need to cleanse the pores and remove dead skin cells and excess oils.
When cleansing, use a pea-sized amount of the cleanser and apply to the face in a circular motion.
Wash it off with lukewarm water and pat your face dry. Use cotton pads to dab it off, as facial cloths can be abrasive.
Remember to use cleansers that are best suited for your skin type to avoid further skin problems. The last place you want to experience problems on the skin is your face
It’s important to cleanse your entire face, including the creases of the nose, your hairline and neck.
Lastly, always ensure you pat the skin dry rather than rub.
