Shatta Wale, known in real life as Charles Nii Armah Jnr has revealed his long-standing feud with nemesis Stonebwoy is officially over.
Speaking in an interview, the ‘melissa’ hitmaker mentioned, his grudge with his colleague dancehall artiste was not borne out of malice or hatred as most people perceive.
He said: “What many people don’t know is, I don’t hate Stonebwoy at all, no. It’s the industry we found ourselves in that caused all this beef between us.”
Further discussing the brotherhood, he said, “Stonebwoy’s mum and my mother come from the same village in the Volta Region, and I’m saying this again, I’m no longer interested in this family beef, it’s all over.”
At the just ended MTN 4Syte Music Awards, Shatta Wale brought the show to a halt with an unexpected gesture, where he presented his award for the Most Popular Music Video award to Stonebwoy, his former rival now turn brother.
The gesture has a lot of Ghanaians especially fans of both camps very impressed. It also officially brings to an end one of the longest beefs of the entertainment industry in Ghana.
This is also believed to have ushered in a new dawn and reign of dance hall music in Ghana.
