Coded of 4X4 has debunked claims that wives of the members of the music trio caused the collapse of the group.
The music trio, made of Coded, Fresh Prince and Captain Planet, have not worked on any new projects for the past three years.
Some music fans have alleged that the collapse of 4X4 was influenced by the wives of the artistes.
However, Coded says the rumor is not true and that, the members have just decided to work on their solo projects.

“We actually sat down and decided what we want to do with the group and we decided each should embark on a solo project. It was not money or our wives who caused the separation. It was a decision by the 4×4 group we formed 17 years ago,” he told Kwaku Manu in an interview.
Coded also urged his colleagues not to force themselves to stay relevant when their influence or fame has dwindled.
“I don’t see the reason why an old musician will try and compete with the young ones when they have enjoyed their time in the past.”
“A musician must know that they cannot stay on top forever. For instance, why would 4X4 try and compete with the likes of Medikal, KiDi or Sarkodie when we have enjoyed our time in the past.”, he quizzed.
Coded of 4X4 recently released his debut track for 2020 titled ‘Hand of God.
