Veteran artiste, Rex Owusu Marfo, popularly known as Rex Omar has described Obour’s decision to join the New Patriotic Party (NPP) as a wrong move.
Obour announced his desire to contest for the parliamentary candidate seat of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Asante Akyem South Constituency.
The former Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA) President revealed his intention at a short media briefing in the constituency.
Rex Omar believes that the New Patriotic Party is not the right party for Bice Osei Kuffour popularly known as Obour.

In a social media post, however, Rex Omar was quick to add that he supports Obour’s choice to contest for a parliamentary seat despite being with the ‘wrong’ party.
“You have my 100% support but just that you are in a wrong party but nevertheless go get it bro!” Rex Omar wrote.
Rex Omar, who is the Chairman of the Ghana Music Rights Organization (GHAMRO) is a staunch member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
He has on several occasions lambasted President Akufo-Addo and the NPP government for what he describes as an abysmal performance in government.
