Veteran Ghanaian actor, Kofi Adjorlolo, has come at movie producers in Ghana who have failed to pay him for jobs he has done for them.

According to Mr Adjorlolo, many Ghanaian producers refuse to pay him after he casts in their movie productions. He says they lack the proper attitude and manners to deal with both top class and upcoming actors.

Speaking in an interview, an obviously furious Kofi Adjorlolo indicated that, after he is done with the movies, the producers simply refuse to pay him.

“Some of the producers in Ghana here, they should respect themselves…old man like me, they call me to come and work and they can’t pay me…”

“About seven producers in this country they owe me monies…why? And then I’m sitting at home, I’m hungry, and then when I’m sick too nobody pays attention…Look we have elderly people lying down on their sickbeds and these producers owe them,” he said.

He emphasized that, these producers he was referring to, are people who are regarded as the ‘big names’ in the industry and yet still do this.

“The whole actors in Ghana here know what I’m talking about, producers don’t pay, the producers owe actors!” he added.

Further stressing his frustration, Kofi Adjorlolo says, ever since he quit his career in broadcasting to become an actor, producers have done nothing but take him for a ride.

Answering to the assertion that he is worth some eight hundred thousand dollars ($800,000), all he could afford to ask was,

“…Me! Me! eight hundred what…?”.
