Mr. Modjifatanihu Jerry John Foreigner Mills-Nkrumah, the Ada West District Chief Executive (DCE), has urged assembly members to uphold unity and accountability as they work to fast-track development across the district.
Speaking at the Third Ordinary Meeting of the Second Session of the Fourth Assembly, he commended assembly members and traditional authorities for their commitment to improving livelihoods and advancing the district’s progress.
He emphasised the need for renewed efforts in youth employment, local infrastructure development, and aggressive revenue mobilisation to sustain ongoing development initiatives.
Mr. Mills-Nkrumah said the government’s 24-hour market initiative presented a significant economic opportunity for the area, announcing plans to establish a permanent market management committee to revitalise the Sege Market and enhance commercial activities.
Presenting key recommendations from the Executive Committee, the DCE proposed the establishment of a Development Support Fund for Assembly Members, an increase in sitting and transport allowances, and the approval of the 2026 Composite Budget, Annual Action Plan, and Revenue Improvement Action Plan (RIAP).
He further called on the assembly to allocate land for the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA) to establish a district office, adopt a Child Protection Bye-Law, and invite the Coastal Development Authority (CODA) to inspect ongoing and completed projects to ensure accountability and transparency.

Mr. Mills-Nkrumah indicated that the 2026 District Assembly Common Fund (DACF) allocation would prioritise education, health, sanitation, and infrastructure, including the construction of a 24-hour market, CHPS compounds, classroom blocks, and sanitation facilities.
“Our people expect results, not excuses,” he said, adding that “Together, we can make Ada West a model district known for innovation, unity, and development.”
