President Nana Akufo Addo has officially announced the death of former President Jerry John Rawlings.
In an official communique to the nation, the president announced the former president passed away at 10:10am today, the 12th of November, 2020 at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital.
The president rightly reports the former president had been on admission at the nation’s premier hospital receiving treatment.
Nana Akufo Addo went on to extend his warmest condolences to the family on behalf of the people of Ghana and to also announce 7 days of national mourning in honour of the profound statesman.
Again, all national flags are to fly at half mast over the next seven days as the country mourns Jerry John Rawlings.
