Chair of the Ghana Music Rights Association (GHAMRO), Rex Omar, claims President Akufo-Addo and his NPP government are sharing Ghana’s money to their families and friends.

The musician alleges that money from Ghana Tourism Development Fund (GTDF) set up by the National Democratic Congress (NDC) is being shared among families and friends.

Rex Omar made these comments while responding to argument by Socrate Safo that New Patriotic Party (NPP) established the fund.

The musician called out Socrate Safo for making that submission and later slammed Akufo-Addo.

He said the NDC made arrangements for funds currently available to the GTDF in 2013.

“The NDC secured the Ghana Tourism Development Fund between 2013-2027, so when you come into government and the funds have already been secured and you share amongst your family and friends, don’t say you have done anything, we secured the funds, and even in your sharing there is no transparency”, he alleged.

The GHAMRO Chair, who is also the Spokesperson for the NDC manifesto on the Creative Arts sector stated that the President has failed the sector.

He told him to stop hiding behind Free SHS to tout unsubstantiated achievements.
