Mr. Courage Yao Nutsuakor, the aspiring Assembly Member for Tthe Anyako Electoral Area in the Keta Municipality of the Volta Region, has made a solemn pledge to prioritise accountability, development and unity in the area.
He promised that his focus and priority areas would be development and improvement in education, agriculture, sports, among others if given the nod to be the next assembly member.
Mr. Nutsuakor, in an interview with the Ghana News Agency, said that other development agendas he would lobby for the benefit of Anyako electoral area include improving infrastructure development, enhancing access to social services, and promoting economic opportunities.
“I know l have the experience and lobbying skills to lure investors and private partners to our beloved area for development. What l need is a little power of been assembly member to bring these to reality,” he said.
He explained that other focus areas would be on working together with the people in unity to enable develop the area to overcome many challenges as well as achieve the full potentials with greater vision which would be centered on inclusive development that benefits all members of the communities.
Mr. Nutsuakor pledged his commitment to building bridges of unity and development and fostering a sense of community belonging among the people to enable Anyako electoral area achieve greater things and become a model for other communities to follow.
He said: “As an aspiring Assemble Member, l possessed all the qualities of a leader who is committed to serving his people. I am a listener, a team player, a game changer, and a visionary leader who is passionate about making a difference. My leadership style is centered on inclusivity, transparency, and accountability.”
Mr. Nutsuakor told GNA that his campaign messages were built on the principles of community engagement and participation while engaging with the people of Anyako to listen to their concerns and gather their ideas on how to improve the area.
He believed that the people of Anyako should be actively involved in decision-making and contribute to the growth and development of their community and hoped that the approach has earned him the support of many residents who trusted that he was the right person to represent their interests.
He expressed confidently that his visions and commitment to unity and development for Anyako electoral area would resonate with the electorate as evident in the campaign messages which emphasised the need for collective progress.
Some residents of Anyako Electoral Area GNA spoke with expressed satisfaction about the campaign messages of Mr. Nutsuakor.
They urged him to tackle other challenges including inadequate infrastructure, limited economic opportunities, and social issues.
They believed that the aspirant was aware of the challenges and would outline plans to address them and called on all to rally behind him to make a meaningful difference in the lives of residents.
The Electoral commission has earlier announced that a by-election would be conducted in Anyako Electoral Area on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, after Mr. Wisdom Seade, the former Assembly Member of the area was elevated to the position of Municipal Chief Executive of Keta.
Eligible electorates of Anyako were expected to exercise their franchise to elect a leader who is dedicated to their well-being and willing to work tirelessly to address their concern.
