Mr Jonathan Birikorang, District Chief Executive (DCE) for Assin South, has donated sports equipment to the Educational Directorate towards the inter-circuit sports competition to be held on Monday, November 17, 2025.
The sports equipment included 10 footballs, whistles and football pumps.
In addition, the DCE said he had arranged for the distribution of 20 bags of sachet water and soft drinks to all the circuits.
Mr Birikorang assured the Education Directorate of their unflinching support for sports and games and other education programmes.
He admonished the district sports committee led by the district sports coordinator, Mr Joseph kponyoryor to take proper care of the equipment to the benefits of all.
The DCE urged the organisers and sportsmen of the competition to be very disciplined and exhibit sportsmanship on and off the field of play to promote a conducive atmosphere for the competition.
Mr Isaac Opoku Inkoom, District Education Director, who received the sports equipment expressed gratitude to the DCE for the support and called for more assistance to improve education in the District.
He charged organisers of the competition to handle the equipment with care for others to benefit.
