Avenor Chiefs welcome new ECG District Manager – calls for mutual support

A delegation from this year’s Planning Committee (CPC) of the ongoing ‘Avenor Tutudoza’ has paid a courtesy call on Mr Reginald Odai, the new Akatsi District Manager of the Electricity Company of Ghana Ltd (ECG).

The team, led by Torgbui Tali Gafatsi III, the CPC Chairman and Chief from Agbedrafor, on behalf of the Paramount Chief, highlighted various activities throughout the festive season and later welcomed Mr Odai to the Traditional Area.

He commended the ECG for their relentless support during their festivities in the area.

Torgbui Tali, who extended an invitation to the Company, appealed for the same support from the new Management leader as was received from the outgoing District Manager, Mr Samuel Diasempah, towards a successful festive season.

Mr Odai, on his part, expressed his joy at the visit and thanked the team for the honor done to him.

He assured the Chiefs and the people of Akatsi South and beyond of his outfit’s sacrifice for the success of the festival.

Mr Odai also asked for the same support from the Traditional authorities in their daily operational activities as they remained the only national power distributor entity.

The delegation from the Planning Committee comprised Torgbui Ladzekpo Tetteh Gefu IV, Torgbui Azadagli III, Mama Fomeabu II, Mr Amuzu Kale, Mr Edward Doe Adade, Mr Paul Ayrah, and Mr Agbaxode Emmanuel.

This year’s festival, which commenced some days ago, showed an indication of a bigger success in the remaining events.

Some activities that received massive participation include a clean-up exercise, health walk, fashion show, and Avenor Strongest.

The remaining events are the annual pilgrimage to Datsutagba, beauty pageant, artists’ night, soccer competition, and grand durbar that is expected to be held on Saturday, November 29, 2025.

It is on the theme “Securing the Future of Avenor through Skills Acquisition, Employment and Economic Growth.”
