Ghanaian rapper, Edem has advised his colleagues in the music industry to be mindful about the money they decide to spend on giveaways and fan reliefs.

Speaking in an interview on Radio Central in Cape Coast, Edem stressed that it’s easy for celebrities to resort to public donations due to the standards they have set for themselves but that doesn’t mean they should go out of their budget just to satisfy their fans or please the society and suffer in silence.

“If you are a celebrity and you don’t have money right now don’t donate to anybody. You can’t give what you don’t have and suffer in silence whilst you’re hailed publicly.

“If you have 10cedis and you’ll give someone 1cedi and still be alive it’s better because when you die there will be no one to depend on so it’s better you stay alive and carry more people on your shoulder,” he advised.
