Ghanaian songstress Becca, who apparently was the leader of the delegation of Ghanaian celebrities scheduled to meet Cardi B, has bared it all out in an interview with Hitz Fm.
According to Becca, the whole fiasco was a result of CardiB’s manager being absent in Ghana as at the time of her visit.
She said Cardi B was not briefed by her manager regarding the meet-and-greet session and that was the reason the misunderstanding occurred.
Becca said, “Apparently, there was a huge communication gap; I tried to look at the positive side of things though I was wondering what everyone else was wondering. I got to know her [Cardi B’s] manager wasn’t even around to brief her because they came on two separate flights”
Many Ghanaian celebrities thronged the Kempinski Gold Coast Hotel on Sunday, to meet American Rapper Cardi B before her show on Sunday night. Things did not go as planned, as the said celebrities were left stranded for hours, due to what was later called, a ‘miscommunication’
Some of the celebrities including Hajia4real and Wendy Shay took to social media to express their anger at being snubbed by the Bodak Yellow act.
Cardi B, after learning of happenings, rendered an apology to the celebrities saying “my promoter didn’t make me aware.”
Speaking in an interview, Becca revealed many of the celebrities who even showed up at the venue were not invited to the event.
She further went on to say, that as someone who was part of those performing on the night, she was given the special privilege to have a one-on-one session with Cardi B ahead of the show.
Becca said, “I only invited Moesha and Efia Odo and some few others; they were not more than six. I didn’t invite Akuapem Poloo and others but I was glad that there was a mixture of people in the entertainment industry who were there.” she added.
