Ghanaian songstress, Becca has finally decided to respond to allegations that she stole South African Sho Madjozi’s ‘John Cena’ for her ‘No One’ track featuring Busiswa and Dwp Academy
According to critics, ‘No One’ is an exact replicate of the ‘John Cena’ song in beat and the rhythm, with the only variation being in the lyrics.
Becca speaking in an interview with Abeiku Santana has finally responded to the allegation.
According to her, she has a very good relationship with Sho hence since she has not complained, she finds it difficult to understand why people are making noise all over.
“Sho Madjozi owns the song and she hasn’t come out to say anything? In this virtual world? its been three months since I released the song and people don’t even know the relationship I have with her.”
She further went on to say: “There are different genres of music. In South Africa, there are many beats there. I chose to do Gqom beats. If you listen to the two songs, they all sound alike. If we play 10 Gqom beats, you will be wondering if they are all the same song.”
