Rapper Strongman has revealed that he is ready to accept awards for his ‘diss’ songs directed at fellow rapper Medikal.
The two artistes have buried the hatchet but Strongman has stated that he will gladly accept any award given him for dissing Medikal.
‘’Yeah I will (accept it)….Manifest won ‘Hip Hop Song of the Year’ with GodMC and he won ‘Best Rapper’ with GodMC. It is very normal. It was my project. In as much as right now the project is no more there, still it is on peoples phones’’, he said.
Strongman believes that as far as his diss songs were popular and accepted by the masses, he is free to pick up awards.
‘’It was a hit song. No matter how you score the goal, whether you score it with your head, your chest, it is a goal. So far as it is a hit song, it is a hit song. Whether it is a beef song or whatever’’, he added.
In 2019, the two raised interest in rap music when they attacked each other in series of rap tracks.
Medikal first released ‘’To Whom It May Concern’’ and in less than 24 hours, Strongman replied with ‘‘Don’t Try’’.
The 2019 VGMA ‘Best Rapper of the Year’ returned with ‘The Last Burial’ which was also countered by Strongman’s ‘Immortal’.
Months later, the two rappers squashed their beef and have released a song together titled ‘Bossu’.
