Madam Jean-Marie Formadi, Member of Parliament (MP) for Biakoye Constituency in the Oti Region, as part of her “Making Biakoye Work Again” initiative, has donated four large water tanks to support potable water delivery and access in the district.
The donation benefited three communities-Bowiri Kyirahini, Worawora Rice Mill New Site, and Nkonya Wurupong Resettlement—as well as the Kwamekrom Health Centre.
According to the MP, the gesture aims to improve water storage and ensure the availability of safe drinking water, thereby reducing the risk of waterborne diseases among residents.
Madam Formadi, who was accompanied by some constituency executives and party faithful, encouraged the beneficiary communities to use the tanks responsibly to serve their intended purpose for a long time.
Residents expressed gratitude to the MP, noting that access to potable water has been a challenge, and the donation will go a long way to ease their struggle. They pledged to take good care of the tanks to ensure they benefit the wider community.
Madam Formadi further appealed to the people of Biakoye to continue having faith in the government of President John Dramani Mahama, assuring them that his administration is committed to delivering on its promises.
