Ghanaian boxer, Patrick Allotey who assaulted an Asante Kotoko fan for jubilating in front of him at the Super clash last Sunday 26th January 2020, has been arrested.
An arrest warrant was issued by the Ghana Police service after the video of him assaulting the football fanatic went viral.
The Police further placed a bounty on his head after he ran into hiding for fear of being arrested and prosecuted, when charges were pressed against him.
Patrick, who currently holds the WBO Africa Super Welterweight title has apologized to the victim Michael Siaw and opted for an out of court settlement of the case.
Michael is, however, very adamant to do so and has promised to pursue the case to the full extent of the law.
According to latest reports, the boxer has been arrested and is now in custody of the Regional Crime Office in Accra.
