Castro’s manager, Darlyn Amess Kotei, popularly known as DJ Amess has been laid to rest in Accra.
The final funeral rites for the late disc jockey and showbiz pundit was held on July 4, 2020 at his residence in Accra.
DJ Amess died on June 4, 2020, after a short illness at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital.
Family and friends gathered to pay their last respect before he was finally laid to rest at the Awudome cemetery.
The one-time manager of missing Castro has contributed significantly to the showbiz sector by unearthing talents and assisting in promotion of many artistes both young and old.
Notable personalities including Goodies, Isaac Abeiku Aidoo, Kojo Preko Dankwa, Eddie Ray, Christian Agyei Frimpong, Dr Cann, Mr Handsome, Afia Papabi, Bnosska, James Clarke of Chorkor Trotro fame, Albert Bonda, Edem Mensah Tsotsorme, Nana Kwame Gyan among another’s were at the funeral.
Before his demise, DJ Amess, had said that only a few people came to check up on him when he was sick and couldn’t move from home.
