Catholic University of Ghana inaugurates GHC11.2 million pavilion

The Most Reverend Joseph Afrifah-Agyekum, the Council Chairman of the Catholic University of Ghana (CUG), has inaugurated an 800-seater capacity pavilion constructed to augment physical infrastructure development of the university.

The university constructed the multi-purpose facility at the cost of GH¢11.2 million with CCTV cameras, internet services, 24 offices and car parking space as well as walk-ways and a mechanized water facility.

Speaking at a short ceremony held at the University main campus at Fiapre in the Sunyani West Municipality, Rev Afrifah-Agyekum advised the students and other users as well as the university authorities to take good care and maintain the facility.

He also urged the students and lecturer to be God fearing, and endeavour to propagate the word of God, advising that “it’s important to remind ourselves that whatever we do must conform to the evangelization as a Christian university”.

Professor Matthew Glover Addo, the Vice-Chancellor of the CUG and Prof Daniels Obeng-Ofori, the immediate past Vice-Chancellor of the CUG and other key management of the university were all present.
The facility was put up by Messrs Beksfel Construction Limited.
