Gospel musician, Celestine Donkor and her management team are threatening to sue the founder and leader of Anointed Palace Chapel (APC), Rev Obofour. The team is claiming Rev Obofour used Celestine’s ‘Agbebolo’ song to promote his ‘31st December All Night Service’ without permission.
According to sources, a query letter was sent to the Reverend on November 29, 2019.
In the letter signed by Christian Akwesi Buame Esq, the lawyer for Celestine Donkor, she stated that;
“My client informs me that, she has discovered you have used the song to record an advertisement of a programme your Church intend organizing on December 31st night, without her consent and or authorisation. Consequent to that, the said advert recorded with the song is being played on 4 television stations namely Kiss TV, Lion TV, Sweet TV and Cash TV, known to be affiliated to your Church.”

“Our client is hereby demanding an explanation of this matter. She also demands that you render account on profits made so far from using her song for commercial purpose and compensate her accordingly,” the lawyer concluded.
