Chicago Based Philanthropist Mrs. Eunice Cromwell has officially launched her foundation with the provision of a free health screening and medications to the residents of Anomabo in Ghana.
Her foundation, The Jemimah Noonoo Foundation, on Saturday December 28th, provided free health screening to over 500 people living n Anomabo and its surrounding areas.
Patients were screened and treated for ailments such as hypertension, diabetes, malaria, and acute infections among others. Referrals were also given and a follow up program was instituted in collaboration with the hospital to ensure quality evidence-based care for the patients.
The foundation also hopes to use the opportunity to donate some school supplies to the Methodist Primary school and clothes to the Methodist Church as well. All these form a part of Mrs. Cromwell’s Ghana 2020 initiative and the “Bearing gifts campaign”.
The CEO of the foundation, Mrs. Eunice Cromwell in her address to the community said “The Jemimah Noonoo Foundation, calls upon members of the Anomobo community to collaborate with us in this endeavor towards building a better society for all of us. As we pursue this engagement, this foundation will provide responsible stewardship of our human, physical, and financial resources in order to make a positive impact on those we serve”.
Jemimah Noonoo Foundation is an NGO based in the United States of America with the mission of empowerment through education, and striving to obtain economic, social, physical, and spiritual security for the families of Anomabu, thereby encouraging the development of self-sustaining communities throughout Ghana.
Aside from these activities already undertaken by the foundation, it hopes to embark on a number of other projects by collaborating with other local organizations to help improve education and the general health of the people they help.
