Comedy and Poetry Awards ‘Winners Announcement Edition’ slated for 1st August 2020

The maiden edition of the Comedy and Poetry Awards is set to take place on the 1st of August 2020.

Dubbed the ‘Winners Announcement Edition’, it will be held virtually due to the Coronavirus pandemic.

The Comedy and Poetry Awards has 24 voting categories and 3 Honours. These categories are apportioned in the order of, 12 for Comedy and 12 for Poetry.

Under Poetry, there were 6 nominations for Spoken-word and 6 nominations for Lyrics & Rhymes.

The 3 Honours for this year are as follows, one for Comedy Legend, one for Spoken-word Legend and the third for Lyrics and Rhymes Legend.

The Awards is aimed at celebrating the creativity and craft of comedy and poetry and also seeking to help grow the industry at large.

This year’s event will be streamed live on CoPo TV’s  YouTube channel and on Facebook at Copoawardsgh. Mark your calendar this year’s entertaining and special virtual event.
