Nightlife in Accra has not been left out of the many ramifications of the novel Coronavirus that has hit the country.

Very popular nightclubs like Bloombar, Twist and the Cockpit Bar & Lounge have all been shut down as a measure against the spread of COVID-19.

So far, Ghana has confirmed 11 cases of COVID-19 and as part of cautionary measures, President Akufo-Addo, on Sunday, announced the closure of schools and universities and also the ban on public gatherings.

Yesterday, the president further clarified his stance on the ban, saying nightclubs were included in his ban.

Already, many institutions have responded to the president’s call with churches suspending church services and other activities like weddings and Easter conventions.
