An Accra High Court on Monday granted a sum of GH¢100,000.00 bail with three sureties to boxer Patrick Allotey after he was charged with assault.
The WBO Africa Super Welterweight champion has been accused of assaulting a football fan who has been identified as Michael Siaw at the Accra Stadium on January 26, 2020, during Hearts of Oak, Kotoko encounter in the Ghana Premier League.
The 26-year-old has since pleaded not guilty to the charge of assault and causing harm.
The court ordered that two of the three sureties must be public servants who earn not less than GH¢1,500.00 a month.
The case, which was heard at the Accra Circuit Court 10, was presided over by Mrs Evelyn Asamoah.
Mr Allotey will also report to the police once every week. The case was adjourned to February 25, 2020.
