Deeper Life graduates 30 children, urges churches to build youth potential

About 30 children have graduated into the youth ministry of the Deeper Christian Life Ministry, with a call on churches to use sound biblical doctrines to shape minds and build the potential of the younger generation.

Pastor Edmond Ayamga, Middle-Belt Youth Coordinator of the Deeper Christian Life Ministry, made the call at a ceremony held on the sidelines of the Church’s 2026 Global Easter Retreat at its campground at Ayakomaso in the Sunyani West Municipality.

He said the graduates, aged between 13 and 14 years, had been taken through the 22 fundamental and other unadulterated doctrines of the Bible to build their spiritual stability and sustain them in the Church and Christendom.

Pastor Ayamga emphasised that the youth were valuable assets from God and urged churches to identify, nurture, and develop their hidden potential for the benefit of the Church, society, and the nation.

Thousands of congregants, including youth, children, and adults drawn from various divisions, districts, and locations of the Church, are attending the five-day retreat on the theme: “The Glory of Christ’s Resurrection.”

The retreat offers participants the opportunity to listen to live sermons by William F Kumuyi, Founder and General Superintendent of the Church, broadcast via satellite from the Church’s headquarters in Nigeria.

Pastor Ayamga commended children’s teachers, leaders, and workers of the Church for their selfless and dedicated service in advancing the kingdom of God.

He pledged the Youth Ministry’s commitment to shaping minds and ensuring the proper upbringing and development of young people.

Pastor Ayamga said God has better plans for everyone, noting that those plans can only be realised if individuals remain steadfast and build their intimacy with God.

Pastor Charles Ollu, Camp Commandant of the Youth Division of the retreat, took the graduates through a doctrinal quiz and congratulated them on their achievement.

In line with Church practice, the graduates were later baptised to seal their acceptance into the Church and the kingdom of God.
