Precious Mensah (PM), winner of Di Asa season 3 is still very optimistic about her trip to Dubai.
The plus-sized winner has been in the news lately, following reports that she was disallowed from boarding the Emirates flight for her trip to Dubai.
Emirates airline reportedly refused to allow PM to get on board the flight after check-in, because of her size. First and second runners up, Gaza and Maafia, however, got on board the flight.
The trip to Dubai was a part of the winning package presented to Precious for winning the dance competition organized specifically for plus-sized women.
PM, despite the setback, is still optimistic about embarking on her trip to Dubai.
Speaking in an interview, she narrated events leading to her inability to fly out of Ghana to Dubai. She says she was asked to stand aside after checking in but had no idea why this was so.
She only later discovered the reason after the airline explained she needed more than two seats to embark on the journey.
She said, “When we got to the airport, my friends and I were checking in. Some guys around told me to stand aside which I didn’t know the reason why,”
Precious was, however, quick to add that, organizers of the show, Atinka TV, were already working out issues to allow her travel. The trip to Dubai will be her first trip outside Ghana.
PM said, “It’s a little inconvenience and Atinka TV are working on it…I believe in Atinka. Everything will be fine. They are working on one or two issues so very soon I’ll be travelling. I’ll be joining my friends very soon in Dubai”.
