DTI Precision Quality Internship targets 6,000 youth; 270 graduate at Ho Technical University

The Design and Technology Institute’s Precision Quality Internship programme plans to train 6,000 young people over three years.

Operating in Greater Accra, Tamale, Ho, and Kumasi, the programme trained 1,800 participants in its first year.

270 interns graduated at Ho Technical University, following 308 graduates in Accra in September 2025.

The programme targets young people classified as NEET (not in employment, education or training), estimated at about 1.9 million nationwide.

Participants receive training in areas like precision welding, CAD/CAM, automotive painting, and business, alongside soft skills.

Graduates have secured jobs in engineering, welding, fashion, and tech, or started businesses with support.

The programme aims to train 3,250 interns in 2026 and meet its 6,000 target.
