Dr Boakye gave the assurance when the Coalition of Lots 1 Abidjan-Lagos Corridor Road affected persons along the Elubo-Agona-Nkwanta ECOWAS Road Project presented a petition to him at Atuabo when he called on the Eastern Nzema Traditional Council as part of his familiarization tour of the Western Region.

Mr Paul Kodwo Kwaw, secretary  to the Coalition  who presented the petition said they had submitted a petition to the Ministry of Roads and Highways and copied other relevant authorities on the demand for the release of property/ crop valuation and schedule for payment of compensation to the Coalition of Lots 1 Abidjan-Lagos Corridor Road affected persons on the Elubo-Apemanim ECOWAS road project.

He indicated that the fate of the affected farmers, developers and landowners hung in the balance as some of them had been asked to halt any further development on their lands.

Mr  Kwaw appealed to the Council of State Member to use his good office to impress it upon President John Dramani Mahama to address the concerns of the affected persons.

Receiving the petition, Dr Boakye thanked the Coalition for the respect and honour given him, since the affected landowners did not greet the government with a press conference or demonstration as a way of seeking redress but decided to channel their grievances through him.

The Council of State Member assured the Coalition of forwarding their petition to the President for action.
