Edem, Kwaw Kese, Salma Mumin, others use local dialects to educate Ghanaians on Coronavirus

Ghanaian celebrities have started using their local dialects to educate Ghanaians on the prevention of the deadly Coronavirus.

The usage of the local dialects for the campaign against Coronavirus started with a call from rapper Edem.

Local languages have become important to enable the message reach rural areas especially to illiterates.

Film star Salma Mumin has also charged her fellow celebrities and Ghanaians to use local dialects to engage and educate illiterates about the coronavirus outbreak in Ghana.

Her call came shortly after Edem’s advise to celebrities to use local languages to educate the masses.

“If u are a public figure, socialite or celebrity and u can make a local language video to help disseminate safety information pls do.it looks like non English speaking ppl are being misinformed [sic].”

So far, Edem, Salma Mumin, Kwaw Kese, Keche Joshua and a host of other celebrities have heeded to the call.
