Rapper Edem and his wife Stacy, provided packs of breakfast to frontline staff and security personnel on the roads in Accra on April 12.
A lot of security personnel have been deployed to ensure compliance of the restrictions on movement to curb the spread of COVID-19.
The ‘Toto’ hit maker said this his a little way of showing appreciation for their sacrifice and support.
“We are pulling up on the police and giving all of them breakfast. To show appreciation because we think that they are doing an amazing job and it is not easy. They stand all through the night till morning,” he said.
The security personnel thanked Edem and his team for their generous support in the wake of the coronavirus lockdown.
“You brought us food. God bless you. We are praying that this sickness takes leave of us soon.” one personnel said.
Edem also gave monies to about 30 fans to help them survive during the lockdown.
About a week ago, the artiste had also staged a virtual concert to entertain his fans at home.
