Ghanaian fashion designer cum actor, Elikem Kumordzie yesterday, came under heavy criticism for a video he made, advising his colleague actors to find a day job if the acting isn’t paying.

Elikem made the said video in response to Kofi Adjorlolo’s outburst a few days ago. Mr Adjorlolo accused about seven movie producers of owing him varying sums of money for work he had done for them.

Elikem in the video he posted yesterday, asked his colleague actors to see acting a side gig, while they pursue other day jobs. He said: “I agree one hundred per cent that producers don’t pay … being in that position made me realize this other talent mine.” This goes to all other actors, you can’t wanna do entertainment and not have a day job”.

Some of his colleague actors in the industry will not have any of that as the likes of Juliet Ibrahim and James Gardiner schooled him on how acting is also a full-time job.

Elikem has since come out to render an apology to Kofi Adjorlolo, insisting he meant no malice with his video from early on.

“I want to apologise to Kofi Ajorlolo, I respect him as a father, I sincerely apologise if it came across as if I was debunking his statement or going against what he said…” he said.
