Fameye shows up at World Tourism Day concert after show ended

Ghanaian artist Fameye failed to show up to perform during the 2020 World Tourism Day concert at Bogoso in the Western Region on Saturday September 26.

The singer arrived at the venue 30 minutes after the show had ended at 1:30am on Sunday.

Minister of Tourism Arts and Culture, Barbara Oteng Gyasi and her deputy, Iddi Ziblim, left after hours of waiting to see the the singer perform.

The show commenced performances at 8pm with Patapaa wrapping up some minutes before 1am.

Patapaa performed shortly after Kuami Eugene had rocked the township with about an hour of an electrifying performance.

When Fameye arrived around 2am, the crowd had dispersed with a few fans hopefully waiting to see him.

The ‘Nothing I Get’ hit maker has in several interviews said that he grew up in the town, Bogoso.

Fameye was expected to have performed before Kuami Eugene, the reigning Vodafone Ghana Music Awards ‘Artist of the Year’.

It is reported that the artist pleaded with the fans left to gather close so he entertains them though the show had ended.
