Family to observe Beverly Afaglo’s one-week remembrance on May 30

A one-week remembrance vigil will be held on Saturday, May 30, in honour of Ghanaian actress and entrepreneur Beverly Ama Afaglo, who passed away on Sunday, May 24, 2026, at the age of 42.

According to a statement issued by Cine-God Studios, her management team, on behalf of the family, the event will take place from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Green Flavour Events Centre, Community 9, Tema.

The “One-Week Remembrance Vigil” is designed to celebrate the life and legacy of the beloved actress. Attendees are requested to wear black and red.

The programme will include worship and praise sessions, scripture readings, tributes from family and industry colleagues, musical renditions, a sermon, a torch-lighting ceremony, and a balloon release.

In the statement, the family appealed to the public for prayers, support, and privacy as they mourn their loss.

“The family respectfully requests prayers, support, and privacy as they mourn this painful loss and make arrangements for her final rites,” the statement read.

Management added that details regarding her final funeral rites will be announced in due course. They also expressed gratitude to friends, colleagues, and well-wishers for the overwhelming outpouring of love and support since news of her passing broke.

Since her death, tributes have continued to pour in from fans, actors, and key figures in Ghana’s entertainment industry, many remembering Beverly Afaglo for her talent, warmth, and contributions to film and television.

Born on May 28, 1983, Beverly Afaglo Baah rose to prominence through her roles in film and television. Before her acting career took off, she pursued studies in journalism and public relations at the Ghana Institute of Journalism and also trained as a beauty therapist at the FC Institute of Beauty Therapy, skills that later shaped her business ventures.

Beverly Afaglo was married to musician Eugene Baah, widely known as the Choirmaster of the group Praye. The couple had two children.
