Goalkeeper Felix Annan has agreed to renew his contract with Asante Kotoko after speculation linking him with a move away from the club.
He signed a three-year contract extension to stay at Ghana Premier League club until 2022.
The 25-year-old’s current deal was due to expire at the end of the month.
Annan said: ”I am delighted to have signed an extension to my contract with the club. My heart belongs here and so it was not a difficult decision choosing to extend my stay.
“I am the captain of the club and so has a mission which I have not accomplished. I neither wished to leave the club nor made any exorbitant demands. I am happy here wants to remain here to accomplish the mission that I have set for myself.”
Annan is one of Kotoko’s longest-serving players and was confirmed as captain in August.
He joined the Porcupine Warriors in 2011 and has won three Premier League titles and two FA Cups.
