At least 40 kiosks, some cars and a bar have been destroyed in Tuesday’s fire outbreak in Achimota.
The incident occurred in one of the slums in the area which is close to Eden Securities and Makey Pub.
Kiosks caught up in the fire and other properties have been burnt to ashes.
Residents claim the fire started from one of the kiosks belonging to the son of the landlord who sold the land to Makey Pub.
Some suspect the fire was deliberate because the new landowner has paid the tenants to move away from his property.
Several residents are lamenting the devastating effects of Tuesday’s fire which destroyed their properties and rendered some homeless.
