The Fire Service Ladies Association (FISLA) chapter in Tarkwa has donated assorted items to the Angels of Hope Orphanage located in the Tarkwa Nsuaem Municipality of the Western Region.
The items totaling, GH¢3,000, included washing powder, bar soap, diapers, liquid soap, and toilet rolls.
Additionally, the group made a cash donation of GH¢2,000.
Madam Wendy Abokoma Addison, Assistant Divisional Officer Grade I, who presented the items on behalf of the association, stated that the donation was to mark FISLA 30th anniversary nationwide.
She encouraged individuals, institutions, and Non-Governmental Organizations to show compassion to the underprivileged in their communities and beyond.
Madam Esi Antobam, the proprietress of Angels of Hope Orphanage, who received the items, expressed appreciation to the group, and appealed to the public to support them with materials like cement, iron rods, sand, roofing sheets, and a fridge.
