The Ghana Police Service has interdicted five officers for alleged misconduct linked to the unauthorised use of police uniforms and official imagery on social media.
The service says the action is aimed at protecting discipline and public trust.
In a statement dated 16 December 2025, police said the officers have been removed from active duty pending investigations and have been referred to the Police Professional Standards Bureau (PPSB) for further action.
Those interdicted were named as G/Sgt Samuel Agbemanyale (No. 45545), G/Cpl Isaac Mpere (No. 50300), G/Cpl Samuel Agbo (No. 51816), G/Cpl Charles Oduro (No. 56563) and PW/Const Elizabeth Dicka Korkor (No. 14494).
Interdiction is an internal disciplinary step that temporarily relieves an officer of policing duties while investigations continue.
The officers remain members of the service and are still subject to police regulations during the period.
The Police Service said the action forms part of efforts to uphold “discipline, professionalism and the integrity” of the service, warning personnel against online conduct that could bring the institution into disrepute.
