Founder of defunct UT Bank, Kofi Amoabeng allegedly arrested

Founder of the now-defunct UT Bank, Prince Kofi Amoabeng, has allegedly been arrested today over the collapse of his bank.

According to rumour, Mr Amoabeng has already been prepared to appear before the Accra Circuit Court IV.

It may be recalled that the Bank of Ghana (BOG) revoked the licenses of UT and Capital banks on Monday August 14th,2017 due to their insolvency.

Both banks were later seamlessly taken over the GCB Bank .
