Barely a month after losing his position as Chief Executive Officer of Asante Kotoko, George Amoako has landed a similar role at King Faisal – city rivals of the Porcupine Warriors.
The Kumasi-based side has appointed Mr Amoako as their Executive Chairman as part of efforts to improve the current state of the club.
“It’s true that I have been named the Executive Chairman of King Faisal FC,” Amoako told Kumasi-based radio station Oyerepa FM
“I’ll be running the day to day activities of the club whiles Alhaji Grunsah remains the President of the club”
”I’m grateful for the appointment and will strive to do my best for the club” he concluded.
The administrator has worked within the football circles for years and has served under different regimes at Kotoko.
He worked for Kotoko for the past two years before he was recently relieved of his post by the club’s new board of directors.
It was on the ticket of Kotoko that Amoako made it onto the powerful Ghana Football Association (GFA) Executive Council.
