The Ghana Education Service (GES) has secured financial clearance to pay 6,249 teachers recruited in 2024.
“The Ghana Education Service announces that financial clearance has been granted for the payment of salaries of the remaining six thousand two hundred and forty-nine (6,249) teachers recruited in 2024,” the Service said in a statement issued in Accra on Thursday.
“This approval allows the Ghana Education Service to complete all necessary processes to ensure the staff receive their salaries,” the statement said.
It indicated that although the clearance expires on December 31, 2025, management would ensure all affected staff are placed on the mechanised payroll in time for November 2025 payments.
GES expressed appreciation to its staff for their dedication and reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring timely and accurate salary disbursements.
