The private sector in Ghana has established a fund to raise funding from the private sector to support government of Ghana’s effort to combat COVID-19.
This new initiative is also referred to as ‘The Fund’.
The objective of the fund is to partly finance government’s interventions and equip select health service and supply chain facilities and activities in the fight against COVID-19.
On Sunday, March 29, stakeholders in the private sector launched the fund in Accra.
A website, https://ghanacovid19fund.com has also been designed to communicate progress made by the Ghana Covid-19 Private Sector fund.
Coronavirus cases in Ghana currently stand at 152 with four deaths in the country.
