The 2019/20 Ghana Premier League season has been rescheduled to start on December 28, 2019.

The decision was arrived at following a meeting between clubs and the Ghana Football Association (GFA) Executive Council on Monday afternoon at the M Plaza Hotel in Accra.

The initial start date for the league was on December 21, 2019.

The league will start simultaneously with the National Leagues, Women’s League and Division One League.

18 clubs will compete in this season’s league following the addition of Great Olympics and King Faisal at the October 25 Elective Congress. However, five clubs will be relegated.

The 2018/19 football season ended abruptly after the Kwesi Nyantakyi-led GFA collapsed in the aftermath of the Anas documentary.
