Ghana has recorded 4,700 confirmed cases of coronavirus as at May 10, 2020.
494 people who tested positive for coronavirus out of the 4,700 have recovered.
22 patients who contracted the virus have died in Ghana.
The new figures were announced by President Akufo-Addo in his address to the nation on Sunday, May, 10, 2020.
He mentioned that the country had cleared the backlog of cases tested.
The president also extended the ban on public gatherings in Ghana till May 31, 2020.
He encouraged Ghanaians to adhere to the safety protocols outlined by health authorities.
