Ghana has recorded another confirmed case of Coronavirus in the country.
According to the Ghana Health Service, Coronavirus cases now total 53.
On Tuesday, March 24, the previous figure of 27 skyrocketed to 52 before the service confirmed another.
The Service explained that the sudden spike in case incidence is as a result of the mandatory quarantine and compulsory testing for all travellers entering Ghana.
1,030 travellers into the country from Sunday were quarantined at the Kotoka International Airport.
611 samples were taken from these travellers for testing in the laboratory.
After 185 tests were completed, 25 of them tested positive for Coronavirus, Covid-19.
In the midst of this, some citizens have called for a lockdown to stop the further spread of the deadly disease.
